Rev. Bruce Ellis

Dessert Demo-Artist

Bruce serves as lead pastor. He never gets tired talking about God’s love or helping someone experience God’s good purpose for them. You will most often find him caring for members of the congregation or the historic church building. He is a grateful Dad and proud Papa. He enjoys the quiet life of “Ball Hill” with golden sunsets, a galaxy of stars to gaze at and even the blowing winter snowscapes. Hearing Patti play the piano and a drive in the ‘68 Karman Ghia are two of his favorite things.

Rev. Patti Ellis

Flip-Flop Fanatic

Patti has been serving as an Assistant Pastor at Forestville since 1991. She feels called to worship God through the ministries of music, teaching and the baking and giving of banana bread. Patti has also been a substitute teacher and is currently working part-time as a dental assistant at a pediatric practice(which is a God-story she would be glad to share). She and Bruce have 4 adult children(including their daughter-in-law) and 7 growing grandchildren(pure joy!). Patti enjoys all things summer, going for drives with Bruce in his Karmann Ghia, spending time with family, gardening(a new pastime) and sharing meals with friends and family.

Dylan Hawkins

Google Man

Dylan has been an assistant since 2020. He is currently a ministerial student pursuing ordination in the Wesleyan Church. Dylan is our resident Jack of All Trades (master of none). He holds a B.A. in Environmental Policy from Union College in Schenectady, NY. After graduating, he worked in government as Chief of Staff to the New Jersey State Senate Majority Leader. Dylan now finds fulfillment in serving our community. Each Tuesday, he helps run Neighbor to Neighbor Food Pantry and makes lunch for volunteers. Dylan is also heavily involved in helping people find recovery from addiction. Dylan brings his enthusiasm, optimism and ability to google things extremely quickly to our team.
